Fri. May 10th – Sat. May 18th (subject to rain)
Please keep out of these areas for 24 hours.

As a native species park, it is important to keep the population of invasive plants under control in order to allow our native species to thrive. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Backyard Natives Garden is in need of refreshed plantings after many years of growth. This spring, we applied for and received a grant from the Hardy Plant Society to “refresh” our premier educational garden!
Come on out and help plant over 150 plants on this special Workday Weekend Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th between 10 -12.
Tools and gloves will be provided!

We received some good news last week that we were award a grant by the Hardy Plant Society and with that we will be purchasing a lot of new plants for the park! We will be hosting special work days around Earth Day, so stay tuned for more details.
In preparation for the use of this grant, we spent the past weekend doing some work removing leaves and old plants from the gardens. This past Sunday, we removed two old Juniper shrubs to make way in the the front garden for new additions.
Our next planned workdays are the weekend of the 20th & 21st. We hope to see you there!
