Farmers’ Market Opening Postponed

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the High School Park Farmers’ Market grand opening will be postponed until Sunday May 19th.

May 19th will feature the same vendors and musical guest Two of a Kind.

We hope to see you then!

Spraying at the Park

ATTENTION – In our ongoing stewardship of High School Park, the meadow will be undergoing further renovation to control the invasive weeds. We will be applying Clean Slate (EEPA # 228-491) Blue tracking dye will be used to help delineate treated areas during the following timeframe:

Fri. May 10th – Sat. May 18th (subject to rain)

Please keep out of these areas for 24 hours.

For more information, please contact Brian O’Neill of Weeds, Inc. (610-358-9430) PDF

As a native species park, it is important to keep the population of invasive plants under control in order to allow our native species to thrive. Thank you for your cooperation.

ALERT – Construction in Woodlands

Sewer construction has begun in the lower woodland section of the park. After finding large deposits of rock, it was decided that blasting (yes, with dynamite) will need to occur in order to dig deep enough to lay down the new pipes. This will affect the area of the park from High School Road past the stairs and through the narrow section of the path to the midway point toward Mill Road near the creek.

It is anticipated that this process will take 2-3 weeks, so be prepared for the noise during this time, and stay safe when enjoying other areas of the park.
